Detach

Starting from yesterday, my son sleeps in a different room. It's hard for him, but I just realize it's harder for me. We've been so attached these 3,5 years. My husband was away the first two years of our son's life, so it was just the two of us. Those sleepless night when I was breastfeeding him, those cranky mornings. I'm sure gonna miss all of that, but a mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do, right?! It's just another step. Another phase in Akram's life.

Soon he's going to start school. Can't wait for that day. I'd probably cry, a lot. Tears of separation, joy and nervousness all mixed.
